Latest collection

In March 2025 Nathalie Thengius was accepted by the jury of Lille Art Up as “emerging talent”. For this occasion she made a brand new collection of artworks that was on display at Lille Art Up, represented by Heimdall Gallery, who made a beautiful display named ”L´essence du nord”.

n o r r l a n d

Norrland is the name that encompasses the nine historical provinces of northern Sweden. While this painting cannot fully capture the vast diversity of Norrland’s landscapes, it does reflect some of its essence—the rounded mountain tops, the dramatic shifts in temperature, the crisp light blue skies, and the vibrant vegetation.

As I painted this piece for the L´essence du nord collection, I let go of any planning, allowing the landscape to emerge naturally—almost as if it had always been there, waiting to be revealed.

As with all other paintings, but with the round ones particularly, I want to give the obsever a realm of contemplation, a place to rest ones mind.
